Recently, the Forgotten Kingdom, “Mustang Valley” in the higher region of Nepal, was opened up to western tourists. It is the most stunning valley with spectacular mountain views and direct interaction with the ethnic cultural groups of remote Nepal. Ancient Tibetan Buddhist monasteries are still in practice here.

The tour started from Kathmandu and took you to the beautiful Tibetan plateau of Upper Mustang close to the Tibet border. You rode the recently built dirt roads following the Kali Gandaki River George and visited the villages of lower Mustang on the Nepal-Tibet border.
