The Passion for Adventure
Mid Life Adventures is a ‘start- up’ motorcycle tour business which was founded in 2016 by two passionate adventurers to provide unique life, culture, gastronomic and ride experiences which you will remember and talk about forever. We are not a commercial tour operator but rather a facilitator supported by our offshore affiliates in many countries who supply the best possible accommodation, machinery, nourishment and support to give you a unique adventure experience at an affordable price.
As a facilitator with few operating costs nor capital required to maintain motorcycle fleets, we are unlimited in the adventures offered and are continually scouring the globe seeking new and often uncharted lands for our custom tours.
The Reason to Adventure
Both Bob and I have had life changing experiences in our early 50’s which created a real wakeup call to reassess really what’s important in life. Life is short but you don’t know how short until your time is up! We both see motorcycles as a ‘tool’ to allow us to share our passion with others. As Bob reiterates over and over, he wants to be the one in the nursing home telling the stories not listening to them.
Our demographic is specifically aimed at 40-70 year olds who realise that life is passing them by – quickly! They are excited by the idea of stepping beyond their ‘norm’ and on knowing the unique itinerary and destination, often display teenage like characteristics. We love this in our fellow midlife adventurers. They have the time, the money and the desire to be a team player and be shown unforgettable experiences they would never have dreamt of if left to their own devices.
It’s now your time to enjoy!
The Happy Adventurers
I want to thank everyone who was on our Thai 2 Loop ride for making it such a great trip. I really enjoyed the company of every single one who was on the tour. Thanks guys, the food we ate, the beer we drank, the places we saw, the people we met, the boats we went on, the tea we drank, the places we stayed, the pools we swam in, the cigars we smoked, the shots we had, the challenges we had. We all came together as one when needed to help another through their difficulties. I want to thank Mike and Bob of Mid Life Adventures for making all this possible. The work you guys put in to this trip made it a reality for all of us.
The memories I have of this trip are just fantastic.
Dan Ballantyne,
What a culture shock! Every day had diversity of terrain and challenge. I loved the riding experience on the Enfield and of course creating magnificent images of the Himalaya’s.
Siggy (53) ,
This trip is a lot more than a bike ride – it’s about the people, the culture and the outstanding scenery.
Robert (53) ,
The ride to the highest motorable road in the world was the highlight as this was the culmination of all expectations bundled in to one day.
Jamie (64),
I have been travelling the world for 10 years now and have never experienced anything like this tour. Starting with the sensational two days in the chaos of Delhi and the tour of notable attractions, then the climb on the ‘Toy Train’ to the summer capital of India ,Shimla had all riders excited before even hopping on the near new Enfield fleet. The ride was astounding, the Himalaya’s unbelievable, accommodation, nourishment and support to the group – exceptional. This is absolutely a five star tour, not for luxury but for the ‘whole’ experience.
Thankyou Mike and Bob for allowing me to join you on this adventure which I will remember forever.
Ben (31),
I have learnt that trips like this you just accept the flow and don’t try to fight it. I really struggle to find anything at all that I find reason to negatively comment about. The trip was great. The accommodation was above expectation. The food was fantastic and where it wasn’t so great that was fine also as that is part of the experience and I didn’t go hungry. The organisation was superb, the itinerary was faultless, and the comradery was excellent!
Thanks Mike and Bob, this is the third ride that I have done with you guys and I can’t wait for the next adventure.
Mark (New Zealand),
The second phase through the jungle of Thailand’s west and in to Laos was for me the most was the most physically and mentally challenging for me but at the same time was the most rewarding. Most importantly what dominated the trip was the great team spirit. Thanks Mike and Bob for an unbelievable adventure which I would never have done off my on bat.
Wherever the trip and whatever the time, I’m there!
Lars (Denmark),
